In 2003, I created a meditation CD to help my patients heighten their awareness and learn to deeply relax. This CD has been enormously popular in my practice, as I have sold several hundred copies over the past few years. 

The CD has 2 tracks: The first is a 20 minute overview of meditation, the second is a 33 minute guided meditation (using my voice, no music) that someone can listen to over and over again. This is basic mindfulness, or shamatha, meditation as taught in the Tibetan tradition. It is basic, down-to-earth, and accessible to the beginner. 

Simply put, if you can encourage your patients to meditate on a regular basis, you will likely notice that your treatments sink in on a deeper level. Your patients will have a powerful self-care tool in place that can maintain the effect of your treatment throughout the week or month they don't see you. 

I sell these CD's for $14.99 each in my practice. They are an 'easy sell' because all it takes is a little education for your patients to understand why they might want to meditate a few minutes every day.
