Build a cuting edge, powerful website with video, blogging capability, and a lot of backlinks to your site
Simply put, if you don't have a website in this day and age, you are losing business in a major way. More and more people are turning to the internet to find what they need, even more so than the yellow pages. Why? Well, it is more convenient for people that are always at the computer. More importantly, it enables them to get a lot of information before they decide to buy what you are offering. Even more than just having a website, you need to include social media tools like blogs, YouTube videos and audio. Personalize it and make it as easy as possible for your prospect to say, "I trust you." Adding video and audio to your website is easy to do and quite inexpensive. It is a proven way to increase the conversion on your website.

Offering talks and seminars
Public speaking. Did you feel your stomach churn? It has been proven that the fear of public speaking is greater than the fear of death. Most people avoid it like the plague. Really successful entrepreneurs, however, welcome the opportunity to be in front of a group sharing what they know and gaining exposure. Get it on your schedule at least once a month. Rotary clubs health clubs, support groups, rec centers, schools.. there are many places that would love to have you as a speaker. Do this regularly and you will get used to it and even learn to enjoy it. This is still a proven way to get new patients in the door. There is a methodology to doing this effectively which is beyond the scope of this article, but for now just keep practicing your speaking skills and you'll find your conversion improves over time.

Build relationships with strategic power partners
Right from the get go, one of your first priorities should be establishing professional relationships with complementary practices in your area. This is a very effective and free way to build trust and professionalism in your community. Get a network of acupuncturists, medical doctors, massage therapists, naturopaths, and psychotherapists around you and create a powerful mutual referral system between your practices. Do the same with yoga centers and ladies fitness clubs.
If you follow these 3 tips thoroughly and methodically, you should have great success in private practice!
